There are some fucked up people living on this planet

A man has pleaded guilty to killing an 18-day-old baby so that he could finish his videogame in peace. On October 26, 2007, Rene Edward Barrios was trusted to look after his girlfriend's newborn baby while it was sleeping. Leaving it in the next room, Barrios was playing an unspecified game when the baby started to cry.

Enraged by the noise, the man went into the next room, where he violently shook the child and hit it in the head. With the baby subdued, Barrios then went to finish his videogame for the next ten minutes, coming back to check on the child only to find it blue and unconscious. The baby died later in hospital and Barrios was arrested there and then. He has officially been found guilty of manslaughter and faces between 10.5 and 12 years of prison.

So true ....

"In the end all you can hope for,is the love you felt to equal the pain you've gone through." -- The Editors

Rogue Status

This is the next brand I want to introduce to you.Of course you guys from California now RS but people from Germany for example don't.

This time I'll just give you the wikipedia article because I think it's roughly describing what Rogue Status is.

Rogue Status is a collective initially spearheaded by Johan Esbensen, Rob Dyrdek(World Wide Know SkateBoarder from the Rob and Big show on MTV)Jasper Watts and Rex Holloway that creates controversial designs in order to extort response and dialogue. Much of their work is done in direct reference from global current events. What started just a couple of years ago has since grown into an internationally-recognized streetwear/lifestyle brand, with a store in downtown Venice Beach, CA and worldwide distribution. It is a very, unique brand of clothing. This clothing line is not main-stream yet, but it is slowly working its way up the fashion chain.

Rogue Status is pretty famous for their "Gun Show" shirt.

Travis Barker, owner of Famous Stars and Straps also bought into Rogue Status and is now part owner of the brand. Many celebreties can be seen wearing Rogue Status.Rob Dyrdek,Ryan Sheckler,Travis Barker,Paul Wall just to name a few.

What I like about RS is that they create controversial art and the way they do it.

You can find more about Rogue Status and purchase their gear at the following websites:

RogueStatus.com
The Smogcheck
Mauve
Chocolate Crocodile

Famous Stars And Straps Kids Line

A few days ago some pics of the new FSAS kids line showed up on the internet.I think those kids are really cute haha.

Bloc Party - Intimacy

I just finished listening to the new Bloc Party record.I was afraid that they changed and got away from their style that I loved so much.I still don't like the first single Mercury but the rest of the album is just great.I would call it a musical masterpiece. Some of the songs get you in such a releaxed, calm mood.
You should definately check the new record out.My favourite tracks right now are Biko and Signs.

Berlin

I just got back from a litlle shopping tour through Berlin.I was looking for some new shoes, sunglasses and I checked out two new stores.

My first stop was the recently opened "New Era Flagship Store".They have a nice selection of about 1000 New Era hats aswell as some other hats. When I got my camera out to take some nice pics for the blog one of the women who work in the store told me that it isn't allowed to take pics of the inside of the store. What kind of bullshit is that?Whatever I saw some nice hats and I guess I'll buy one there pretty soon. The coolest thing is that they sell some hats with Berlin themes like "030" the dial code for Berlin.Another thing I noticed was that the hats were pretty much cheaper than anywhere else in Germany with only 34,95€.I searched for some pics to post and here they are.

After that I went to check out the Titus Zoopreme Store which I do once in a while and I have to say Titus really got wack. The brands they sell are shit, everything is totally overpriced and the people who work there suck lately. But they actually had some nice Vans shoes there so I consider going back there in a few weeks to pick up some cool ones.

One of the last stores I went to was "Solebox".A new store that sells stuff like BBC,Ice Cream,Vans shoes and a lot of sneakers.Infront of the store people were interviewed and the street was crowded.Someone explained me that they were camping out for a shoe release tomorrow. When he showed me the shoe I was shocked because it was really ugly but everyone has his own taste. That's a good thing I guess.

R.I.P. Jerry Finn

Jerry Finn passed away yesterday! :(

Blink-182 and Morrissey producer Jerry Finn has been taken off life support after suffering a massive brain hemorrhage last month. According to a post on the Prosoundweb forum reprinted on Morrissey-Solo.com, Finn's family made the decision on Saturday.

"Even though he did make snail-like improvement these past 31 days, he is not any better for words and has not had any consistency in the tests that the medical team have done for him," a close Finn friend wrote on the forum. "At this time the hemorrhage has done massive damage to his body which will leave him severely disabled and in need of acute care for the rest of his life. We know Jerry wouldn't want to live like this in a vegetative state."

Finn, 38, got his start as an engineer in the early 1990s before shifting into production on such albums as Rancid's "...And Out Come the Wolves." Among his best-known production credits are Blink-182's "Enema of the State" and Morissey's "You Are the Quarry." Finn has also worked with Green Day, Bad Religion, Sparta, AFI and the Offspring, among many others.

Finn had also lent production to Morrissey's upcoming "Years of Refusal," which has been bumped from a fall release to Feb. 2, 2009, according to Truetoyou.net.
